I graduated from Cornell in 2014 so Ithaca Beer Company looms large in my craft beer education. I have a shirt that's seven or eight years old now. The printed on logo is peeling, and even funnier to me, it's totally off center. I have numerous other shirts and hats that are objectively better looking, but the combo of nostalgia and shoddy craftsmanship has kept it in my regular rotation.

I'm an IC grad, so the same is true for me! Ithaca Nut Brown is probably on my Mt. Rushmore of gateway beers. Thanks for sharing!

Nice! I graduated from Cornell in 2016 but wasn't a big beer drinker at the time. Definitely have to make it back up to Ithaca at some point.

If you do, while Ithaca Beer is a must-stop, don't sleep on Liquid State Brewing. I've been really impressed with their beers on my last couple visits up there!

I have a rocket box on top of my car and it's adorned with stickers from ski areas, national parks and breweries. It's always a great conversation starter and the guys at the CraftBeer cellar in Waterbury across from ProPig knew me better than they should. As for my prized swag, a ME Beer T-shirt that just says, Do What's Right.

The newsletter is great, Chris. I've followed you on Twitter for a long time now, and it's nice to read your thoughts in a longer format.

You are right about NY swag. On my first visit to Burial in 2017 I sat down at the bar and I looked at the bartender and said isn't that an Other Half shirt? He said yes they were helping them with NY distribution. Always good to have a jumping off point for conversations. I met 3 guys there that day that I still keep in contact with through Untappd. It works the other way as well, met a guy with a Veil shirt at OH and asked him about it and it inspired my trip to Richmond. Loving the newsletter

My favorite swag is a set of two big augustiner edelstoff glasses which are used daily.
